Exodus 17:8-16 In my line of work, I use my hands a lot. I use them to hold the weights. I use them to make products, I use them for my commercial business and I use them for healing, researching, defending, and survival. Our hands are always in the survival and work mode. I think we don’t take in account that they grow weary. We don’t realize that until we need assistants to help us hold onto something, hold up something and most importantly, to willingly, let go of something. We can become weary, lose the strength in our hands and find that its too difficult to “Hold up the Banner of God”. I don’t want to not be able to hold up God’s Banner, because I’ve become too weary from fighting in my own strength instead of letting God fight for me. He wants...

Hi Friends!

As I'm getting ready to start a 10 day liver cleanse, I thought I would blog about it. But first I wanted to give you some understanding of why its so important to pay special attention to the function of our liver.

Your liver is the largest and heaviest internal organ. It processes anything you eat or drink, and either repackages it for your body to use or eliminates it. The liver also stores vitamins and helps detoxify your body. That’s why it’s so important to keep your liver in tip-top shape!

When the liver isn’t functioning properly, your body is likely not absorbing, storing, or utilizing all the nutrients from your food, which can result in bloating, constipation, low energy, and stubborn weight loss.

Without a healthy liver, it’s nea...

Tea time for the Holidays! -

Brewing up a cup of tea to enjoy is a wonderful form of self-care, encouraging us to slow down while waiting as the herbs gently steep, giving their goodness to the water. Especially during the holiday season when life can get hectic, it is important to find ways to keep stress under wraps and put our wellness first.

Herbs commonly used by herbalists during the winter season include botanical allies such as ginger, cinnamon, hawthorn, mints, rose hips, Echinacea, elderberry and flower, tulsi basil, Astragalus, and Calendula. Each of these herbs offer their own unique array of useful properties that are important for supporting wellness at any time of the year but especially during the winter!

Her is one of my favs!

The earlier part of 2017, I decided to create a FB page titled, Women Lifting Women. I felt that women, needed to help each other and support each other in their health and wellness goals

. I always wanted the support of another woman, and I found that at the gym. I could rely on my gym beasties to always be there to push me to my limit, or to encourage me when I rather not. It made exercise fun. Then later in 2017, I felt called to make this movement a 5013c. I wanted to reach out to other women who are struggling in mind, body and spirit. I know how much it benefited me, so I knew another woman would be welcoming. I reached out to shelters for women and found myself being an ambassador for women who were victims of sex trafficking. Now this Women Li...

Yes, on my 56th birthday, I found myself engaging in a “one-sided” fist fight with a man, no less! This traumatized me so much that I needed to go into my prayer room for understanding and forgiveness.

About 6 years ago, I found myself going through a self- healing process. Prior events in my life had left me in a dark, scary place, living life hating myself, demeaning myself of not being enough and of not being worthy of anything good, street of destruction. I always felt that God decided to put me in a glass bubble of protection. He removed people and things from my life without me knowing why. He kept me in the hallway with only my cell phone to use as a communication device to the atmosphere....

So many times I feel like pieces of a puzzle. All of my want tos' are trying to find out where they fit so I can see the big picture. That's when I know I need to ask God to speak to me and direct me how to move. The movement can be like a joyful Zumba class, an intense kickboxing class, a heavy weight lifting class, a breath taking HITT class or just a quiet Intentional focused and prayerful @holyyogaministries class, but just know His voice is movement. Knowing His voice is knowing that one of the pieces will fit in the right place if you get off the couch and take on the movement.

When you move your body, with your mindset focused on the grace and gratitude of movement instead of your own strength or lack of, which our ego wants to take responsibil...

How far back in your story, are you willing to go? Where do you start when you tell it? Peeling the Onion, is my way of revealing those layers. Here is one of mine.

9-11, was the breaking point of my marriage. Earlier that year, I lost my little brother. That lost, placed me on a path of heartache that I've never known. It left me numb and still. My husband couldn't show me any love or support. He didn't know how to rescue me from this pain. Instead of me, always the rescuer, always the strong one, I was weak and needed lifting, but instead, I laid helpless in the darkness.

In that same year, we sold our home. The house where my brother and I spent a moment of desperation, praying for God to intervene and make him br...

In 2000 Damasio and his colleagues published an article in the world's fore-most scientific publication, "Science", which reported that reliving a strong negative emotion causes significant changes in the brain areas that receive nerve signals from the muscles, gut, and skin - areas that are crucial for regulating basic bodily functions.

I call this "toxins".  Negative toxins that are holding our mind, body and spirit hostage for the purpose of sabotaging your God given Identity. Peeling the layers of toxins will cause you to feel the pain associated with it in your muscles, gut and skin. It's like ripping off a bandage and taking a visual of the wound that was made because of a negative experience. It can put us in a paralyzing fear or blind rage. O...
